Rev. Sandy Messick

Rev. Sandra Morgan Messick was called to be Transitional Regional Minister and President of the Northern Lights Region beginning in January of 2020.

Rev. Messick holds a B.A. in Speech Communication from San Diego State University (1985) and a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis (cum laude, 1990). Her publications include a sermon in Bread Afresh, Wine Anew: Sermons by Disciples Women (1991), “Partners in Prayer,” Advent Devotional Booklet, (1999) and various church school curricula published through Christian Board of Publication (1997-2003). She has earned a Certificate in Transitional Ministry from the Interim Ministry Network and a Certificate in Leadership and Church Management from Whitworth College.

Sandy has pastored congregations in Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Washington. Rev. Messick was also the Regional Minister and President of the Northwest Regional Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) from June of 2009 through December of 2019 when the Northwest and Montana Regions merged.

Sandy lives in Spokane with her husband, Tom, and their two cats, Max and Oliver.   They have two adult children, Sarah and John.

Regional Administrator

Robin Crabb

Robin joined the Northern Lights regional staff in March 2022.  She brings with her two decades of administrative experience and working remotely, including ten years as a partner with oversight of the administration sector of a global corporation.  In parallel with her administrative positions, Robin has been a dedicated church volunteer at First Christian Church of Puyallup for twenty years, serving in a wide variety of roles.  She is honored and humbled to be able to now serve the Region, its pastors, and congregations in a combined role of administrator, supporter, and servant.

Robin and her husband Thom live in Puyallup with their dog Jasper.
