Regional Minister
Rev. Paul Allen
The Church expresses itself in geographic ministries known as regions. The regions function in areas of mission and nurture and call regional ministers as their spiritual and administrative leaders. These ministers serve as chief executive officers of the region. (Disciples.org)
Paul Allen was affirmed by a body of voting representatives from across the Northern Lights at a special Regional Assembly in December 2023.
Paul was born in Wilson, NC, and moved to Wichita, KS when he was ten years old. Both of his parents were Disciples congregational pastors and Regional Ministers.
He attended Barton College (1993–1997) and Lexington Theological Seminary (1997–2001) and was ordained in June 2001. Paul served churches in North Carolina (2001–2010), Kansas (2010–2015), and Huntsville, AL (2017-2024).
He is married to Patti who is a Registered Nurse. They have a daughter Abby, who is a junior at Auburn University; and a son Joe, who is a junior in high school.
Paul is honored to be called to this role in the Northern Lights Region and to be serving the Region and its congregations. Paul plans to start his residency in the Region in the Spokane area as he and his family get settled and find what works best for them.
